BMW UK is extending the range of exterior paint finishes for the i8 as part of the BMW Individual collection. The new colours include: Java Green, Speed Yellow, Solar Orange, Twilight Purple Pearl, Frozen Grey, Frozen Black, San Marino Blue and Grigio Telesto Pearl.

A variety of finishes are available including non-metallic, metallic or Xirallic, which uses a mixture of synthetic mica or aluminium flakes.

BMW says the matt finish of the frozen paintwork has a unique shimmer that underlines the sculptural character of the vehicle, and the new colours follow the success of the early orders for the Protonic Red limited edition i8.

Commenting on the i8 BMW Individual Exterior Paint Programme, Richard Hudson, Sales Director for BMW UK, said: “The BMW i8 embodies the accomplished vision of a modern and sustainable sports car. The new paintwork colours not only complement the BMW i8s emotive styling and design, they also work harmoniously with the BMW i brand and provide customers with exclusive personalised options.”

The new i8 BMW Individual Exterior Paint Programme is available with immediate effect priced from £5,495 at all BMW i Agents.

The company reports that over 1,400 i8s have been sold in the UK since the launch in 2014.
