Eco tyres cut Nissan Qashqai running costs

Nissan Qashqai gets eco tyresBuy a new Nissan Qashqai with 18-inch alloy wheels and it will now come with low rolling resistance tyres from the factory, improving efficiency and lowering running costs.

Fewer customers will have to sacrifice style to save money, with the newly designed tyres meaning the Qashqai can now match the running costs of the same vehicle equipped with 17-inch wheels.

It’s likely to be a popular move with fleet operators and business users, dropping BIK by 1 per cent across the diesel range. The 19 per cent BIK Qashqai dCi 130 4WD Manual actually drops into a lower VED band, with a saving of £130 in the first year.

Emissions for the most economical version, the dCi 110 2WD Manual, drop from 103g/km, to just 99g/km, with claimed economy of 74.3mpg. This includes Acenta with Premium Pack, N-Connecta and N-Vision trim levels.
