New Jeep Renegade set to arrive in September

Posted on August 20, 2018 by David Wilkins — No Comments ↓

Pricing and specification for the new Jeep Renegade have been announced ahead of the B-segment SUV’s arrival here in September. Among the changes to the MY19 Renegade are:

  • New front styling, giving a fresh aesthetical appearance
  • New petrol and diesel SCR engines
  • Improved fuel economy with new 1.0-litre engine
  • Refreshed and updated interior with increased storage capacity
  • New LED headlights (Standard on Limited and Trailhawk versions)
  • New wheel designs – 16, 17, 18 and new option 19-inch (on Limited version)
  • Improved safety content across entire line-up

New three and four-cylinder turbo petrol engines debut on the Jeep Renegade – the new engine family includes 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre petrol units and updated 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engines with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), all of which are Euro 6d-TEMP/D compliant.

The engine range on the new 2019 Renegade can be paired with a six-speed manual, DDCT (Dual Dry Clutch Transmission) and nine-speed automatic transmissions for a smooth, comfortable driving experience.

The new 2019 Renegade features a new front-end design delivering a more modern look thanks to a new front fascia, which now sports a redesigned, cut-in silhouette 7-slot Jeep grille – similar to the Wrangler – new headlights and fog lights.

The exterior is completed by new wheels. The new model year offers seven different wheel options – including 16-inch, 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch -– with the latter introduced for the first time and exclusive to the Limited trim – all featuring special finishes.

Depending on trim level, new Jeep Renegade can be equipped with Uconnect 5-inch or Uconnect 8.4-inch NAV, which include touchscreens and easy-to-use features, and a more powerful processor with improved response capability. This allows for the driver to control the climate system, the sound system and much more directly from the Uconnect display, for additional safety while driving.

The new Jeep Renegade is available in two configurations, with two- or four-wheel drive. Jeep off-road capability is guaranteed by two advanced 4×4 systems, Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low which secure benchmark performance in all conditions.

Jeep Selec-Terrain is integrated with four settings (Auto, default mode with rear axle disconnect; Snow, 4WD mode calibrated to reduce understeer; Sand and Mud, 4WD modes for maximising low-speed traction) for optimal response on all road surfaces.

“The new Jeep Renegade has all the attributes of the last version, with a host of superb new features and a high level of standard equipment,” says Andrew Tracey, Marketing Director, Jeep UK. “Safety has been further enhanced and even greater fuel economy is offered thanks to some excellent new engines.

“I am delighted to announce pricing of this new MY19 Renegade and am also pleased to confirm that the car will be available with 5-3-5, our outstanding offer which consists of a five year warranty, a three year servicing programme, plus five years roadside assistance. There has never been a better time to own a Jeep Renegade.”
