Jens Ocksen, Chairman of the Board of Management, Volkswagen Poznań,: “My thanks are due to the employees for their impressive efforts. They are the ones that make the Caddy the successful, much-loved model that has thrilled our customers for decades. The workers manufacture every vehicle with great dedication, technical skill and passion. And with charitable work such as the donations campaign they simultaneously shape the good reputation of our sites in Poland.”

Dr Josef Baumert, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for Production and Logistics: “Two million Caddy vehicles built in Poznań and another increase in the annual production volume are indicative of committed employees and thus of a very efficient site.” The new record was at the same time also the result of continually optimised manufacturing processes, stressed Baumert. The increasing use of digital technologies would in future bring forth a multitude of new production methods, business models and improved working conditions. Baumert: “These are opportunities we should seize together, also in order to tailor production even more closely to individual customer wishes and to create added value with intelligent solutions.”
