Description

A flurry of new models dominates the news pages of the October 2018 edition of DieselCar & EcoCar magazine, with the Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz A-Class Saloon joined by Scout and SportLine versions of the Skoda Karoq, as well as an updated Honda HR-V.

Our test team have been trying out the new 48-volt mild hybrid Kia Sportage, and tested the Ceed in 2 1.6 CRDi specification, as well as driving the Volvo V60 and Citroën Berlingo for the first time on UK roads. This month’s twin test sees Audi’s A8 limousine take on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class in a luxury car showdown, and there’s also On Test reports of the Audi Q5 3.0 TDI quattro, Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer, facelifted Range Rover, Vauxhall Insignia GSi and the Volvo V40 Cross Country. In EcoCar, we’ve driven the fantastic new Jaguar I-Pace for the first time on UK roads, and tested the Range Rover Sport P400e and Lexus RX 450h L.

We have a comprehensive glossary on new technology, just in case you’ve missed what all the new acronyms mean and take a look at the audio brands that are making moves on the motor industry. This month’s High Mile Club is a mega-mile Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate, and we welcome Legal i back to the magazine with a fresh new author. Toyota’s RAV4 is the subject of this month’s used car buyer’s guide, and Gavin Braithwaite-Smith examines ten cheap technology upgrades you can make to your car without it costing a fortune.

That’s aside from a welcome return to Tuning News, focussing on the tuning and modifications market, and all your favourites, including Doctor Diesel, Marketplace, The Extra Mile, Buying, Maintaining and Selling, and the most up-to-date data section in the business.
