Nissan reveals electric Ariya crossover

Nissan has revealed the world the all-new Nissan Ariya crossover, marking a new chapter for Nissan electric vehicles. CEO Makoto Uchida and Chief Operating Officer Ashwani Gupta unveiled the Ariya to a global audience during a livestreamed event at the soon-to-open Nissan Pavilion in Yokohama.

Production resumes at Nissan Sunderland

Nissan’s Sunderland plant has resumed vehicle production after almost three months, with a new Nissan Juke the first car off the line. Hundreds of hours of preparation have been carried out to ensure the safe return of employees. The company says that every operation across the plant has been rigorously risk assessed to make sure it’s safe, with more than 5,000 processes reviewed to ensure safety at all times.

Nissan says it has futureproofed last-mile delivery operations with the all-new, enlarged and all-electric Nissan e-NV200 XL Voltia van, a conversion of the electric Nissan e-NV200 van.

Nissan invests in UK Qashqai production

Nissan has unveiled a new £52m XL press line in its UK manufacturing plant, as preparations ramp up for the  next generation Qashqai. The press, which weighs more than 2,000 tonnes and has taken 18 months to install, is part of a £400m investment by Nissan in readiness for the new Qashqai, which will be the third-generation of the pioneering crossover.
