New S60 is Volvo’s first US-built car.

Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, today revealed the new S60 mid-size premium sports saloon at the company’s first US manufacturing plant in Charleston, South Carolina.

Hybrids squeeze out diesels on next Volvo S60 range

The new Volvo S60 saloon – to be launched later this spring – will be the first Volvo to be produced without a diesel engine, highlighting Volvo Cars’ commitment to a long-term future beyond the traditional combustion engine. All new Volvo models launched from 2019 will be available as either a mild petrol hybrid, plug-in petrol hybrid or battery electric vehicle. This is the most comprehensive electrification strategy in the car industry and Volvo Cars was the first traditional car maker to commit to all-out electrification in July 2017.

More equipment for fleet-friendly Volvo S60 and V60

Volvo Car UK is increasing its offering of fleet-friendly S60 and V60 models with the introduction of the Business Edition Lux variant. Replicating the Lux upgrade already available on Volvo’s SE, R-Design and Cross Country variants, the Business Edition Lux provides added luxury for the S60 and V60 models

Volvo unveils R-Design S60 and V60 line-up

Volvo Car UK has announced the launch of the all-new S60 and V60 R-Design models – created to deliver a dynamic driving experience in a coupé-style saloon or versatile Sportswagon. Featuring a specially developed chassis, the new R-Design models ensure that the driving experience matches the car’s sporting appearance.
