You know that feeling you’re happily speeding down the motorway when suddenly you come to a grinding halt. You’re tired, you’re bored and you’re longing for home.
Trapped with other poor, innocent souls what can you do to alleviate the boredom? Here’s Diesel Car’s Top 3 things to do when stuck in traffic.
1. It’s Good To Talk
If you’ve got a bluetooth connection, give someone a call. You can be going nowhere and feeling increasingly uptight but a good rant to a loved one can make you feel so much better. If you’re really stuck you can work your way through your phonebook, call in late for work, or even order a pizza. At least the delivery moped should be able to make it through the gridlock.
2. Host a traffic-jam concert
Being stuck in traffic is dull. There are other words for how it makes you feel but we’re being polite here. So why not liven things up with a traffic jam concert? Crank up the stereo and drop your windows and if you’re feeling flamboyant, sing along. AC/DC’s Highway to Hell usually goes down well…
3. Play Sat-Nav roulette
Ever wondered how long it’d take you to drive to Vatican City? Or Amsterdam? This one’s easy. Think of a number between one and 26. That’ll give you a letter, A is 1, B is 2 and so on. Then think of a place that starts with that letter. Then ask the sat-nav how long it’ll take to get there. If you’ve a passenger get them to play too. The winner is whoever comes up with the longest location to drive to. Oh the hours of fun!
