The Fiesta line-up has been revised, with a new entry-level diesel Trend model, as well as Edition versions of the ST-Line, ST-Line X, Active, Active X and Vignale. At the same time, diesel power has been re-introduced to the flagship model, now called Vignale Edition.

Trend models now gain electric rear windows on five-door models, FordPass Connect with embedded modem, selectable drive modes and front floor mats. Titanium models add electric rear windows and LED ambient lighting, while Titanium X versions add 17-inch alloy wheels, electronic automatic temperature control, a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster, traffic sign recognition, driver alert and auto high beam, but loses heated front seats and steering wheel.

The Fiesta Active range has been reprofiled, and instead of Active 1, Active B&O and Active X, there’s simply Active and Active X models now available. This results in Active models gaining black roof rails, rear parking sensors, power foldable door mirrors with puddle lights, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror, Sync3 infotainment with navigation system, keyless start and LED ambient lighting, while Active X versions now have 18-inch alloy wheels and a B&O premium audio system, but loses heated front seats.

Move up to the sporty ST-Line Edition models and this gets rear privacy glass, rear parking sensors, power foldable mirrors with puddle lights, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror and a navigation system. ST-Line X Edition versions further add 18-inch alloy wheels, a B&O premium audio system and keyless entry and start, and at the top of the updated Fiesta range sits the Vignale Edition, which now features adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, active park assist, front parking sensors, blind spot monitoring system and door edge protectors.

Diesel prices start at £17,695 for the Trend 1.5 TDCi three-door and rise to £22,765 for the Vignale Edition 1.5 TDCi five-door. Model for model, the Titanium and Titanium X models remain at the same price as before, while the Active represents a rise of £1,505 over the Active 1, the Active X Edition remains at the same price as the outgoing Active X. The ST-Line Edition costs £1,200 more than the previous ST-Line and the ST-Line X Edition is priced at £700 more than the outgoing ST-Line X. The flagship, the Vignale Edition, now costs an additional £925 compared to the previous Vignale model.

The better equipped new Fiesta range is available to order now from Ford retailers.
