Autoecosse Mitsubishi is throwing its weight behind the event at St Michael’s Golf Club in Leuchars, which will be raising money for Help for Kids, which supports Dundee’s most sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
The Charity Golf Day takes place on Friday 30th May, with teams of four players taking part, and anyone who manages to get a hole in one will win a new Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian worth £29,200, courtesy of the generous dealership. Autoecosse has also made a donation to the charity.
Tim Hancock, General Manager at Autoecosse Mitsubishi in Kingsway East, said:
‘We started working with Help for Kids this year as it’s a brilliant charity that does such wonderful work, and we’re delighted to be supporting the golf day. We wanted to give something back into the community. Being a local business, we wanted to support a local good cause as opposed to a national one, to ensure that the money is used locally.’
Annemarie Smith, Fundraising Manager of Help for Kids, said:
‘This is going to be a great day. I would like to express our thanks to Autoecosse for supporting our Charity Golf Day. In less than two years, Help for Kids has supported 6,904 children in Dundee and the surrounding area, and the money raised from the golf day will allow Help for Kids to continue to help more of them.’
This is the second year that the charity has organised the golf day. It raised more than £3,000 last year and hopes to top that amount this time round. To register for the golf day, and for more information about the event, including package deals, go to http://helpforkids.org.uk/?page_id=574
