Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director for ŠKODA UK commented: “We’re very proud of ŠKODA’s heritage in cycling. Our partnership with Prudential RideLondon gives us an exciting opportunity to demonstrate this heritage and be a part of a world-class cycling festival.
“Our cars are highly regarded by cyclists across the UK. The flagship Superb Estate is the car of choice for pro teams such as Rapha Condor JLT, thanks to both the impressive load capacity and our fantastic range of cycling accessories.”
In advance of the weekend, several ŠKODA retailers across the UK have hosted training rides for cyclists taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 event on Sunday 4 August.
ŠKODA has a long association with cycling, dating back to the start of the company in 1895 when the founders Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement began manufacturing bicycles in their home town of Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic. The manufacturer provides vehicles to the Tour de France and the Tour of Britain, as well as other major cycling races across the world.
