Suzuki GB PLC is pleased to announce full year sales results for 2013 which reached 33,086 units, an increase of more than 8,200 cars over 2012 and a 33 per cent growth year on year; Suzuki was the second fastest growing brand during 2013 and is now well inside the top 20.
Global sales are also looking very positive too with full year forecast up 8.6 per cent and net income up 24 per cent year on year thanks to increased sales in India, Thailand and Indonesia plus some additional models introduced for the Japanese Domestic market.
Well known as the small car experts, demand remains strong for Suzuki’s stylish range of models in the UK with sales of the Alto City Car reaching over 13,600 units and overtaking Swift for the first time as the most popular car in the range. The good news for Suzuki buyers is set to continue into 2014 with a further extension of its VAT free offers now running until the end of March.
Alto SZ remains one of the most inexpensive cars to buy at just £5,999 and with no VED to pay thanks to low emissions of 99g/km.
The VAT free offer is applicable to all Splash models and all Swift models except Sport. Splash 1.0-litre SZ2 is available from £7,999 and Swift 1.2-litre SZ2 three door from £8,999. This offer helps customers take advantage of a cost effective way to buy a new car for 2014 and Suzuki again remains the only manufacturer to offer three different models from its range at less than £9,000.
