Vauxhall restarts production at Ellesmere Port

Vauxhall has announced that production will now resume at the Ellesmere Port site on 17th August. During its closure, Ellesmere Port has remained active and implemented a protocol of strengthened health measures. This protocol, approved by Management, has been fully audited, in order to assess its implementation. 

Groupe PSA plug-ins get eight year/100,000 mile roadside assistance plan

Groupe PSA has extended its roadside assistance plan on new full electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) to eight years or 100,000 miles, in line with the vehicle battery warranty, for added customer assurance. The cover is available on the latest generation of plug-in hybrid and full electric Groupe PSA vehicles, including the new Peugeot e-208 and 3008 SUV Hybrid, new Vauxhall Corsa-e, Grandland X Hybrid and Hybrid4, new DS 3 Crossback E-Tense and DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 4×4 and the new Citroën C5 Aircross Hybrid.

Peugeot and Fiat empires to merge

The two groups say that discussions have opened a path to the creation of a new group “with global scale and resources” owned 50 per cent by Groupe PSA shareholders and 50 per cent by FCA shareholders.
