Low-cost IONITY subs for Kia EV drivers

Kia UK Limited has introduced a new IONITY bolt-on to its Kia Charge service, opening the door to low-cost high-power charging for Kia EV owners. Kia Charge provides comprehensive access to the UK public charging network, with around 17,000 connectors accessible from a single account. The new bolt-on enables Kia EV owners to access IONITY’s high-speed 350kW charging points across the UK and Europe.

Hyundai joins IONITY charging network

Hyundai Motor Group has joined IONITY, Europe’s leading high-power charging network, as a strategic partner and shareholder. Hyundai Motor Group – including Kia and Hyundai brands – says that through its participation in this joint venture, it will drive the expansion of the high-power charging network along Europe’s highways, promoting the further adoption of zero-emission mobility.

IONITY brings 350kW charging to Skelton Lake Services on the M1

IONITY in conjunction with the Extra MSA Group has expanded its UK network with a 350kW High-Power Charging station for electric vehicles at Extra’s recently constructed ‘new concept’ Leeds Skelton Lake Services, located on the M1 J45 east of Leeds. Drivers can now charge their electric cars in less than 20 minutes depending on their vehicle’s charging capacity using renewable energy from the IONITY High Power Charging points. Leeds Skelton Lake is IONITY’s fourth station to be launched in the UK with seven others planned to follow in 2020 in co-operation with Extra MSA Group – each with the UK’s fastest EV chargers.

Audi launches multi-supplier one-card charging for e-tron models

With the help of the new e-tron Charging Service, owners of electrified Audi models can now plug and pay at hundreds of charge points across the UK and Europe with a single tap, and without being encumbered by subscriptions to numerous suppliers. The key to the new service is an RFID card that unlocks access to a sizeable network of charge points operated by 18 companies in the UK – including IONITY, Pod Point, Source London and Instavolt – as well as two attractive fixed tariffs and free roaming abroad, yet generates only one monthly invoice for carriers in the interest of simplicity.

All-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV on track for 2020 launch
