Kia adds XCeed and Ceed Sportswagon plug-in hybrids to its line-up

Hot on the heels of the electrified versions of the Niro, Soul and Sportage, Kia is expanding the line-up even further with the launch of Plug-in Hybrid versions of the recently introduced all-new Kia XCeed and the Ceed Sportswagon. Each is powered by a 1.6-litre GDi engine combined with an electric motor and 8.9kWh battery pack to produce 139bhp and 195 ft lb of torque.

Digital dash for the Kia XCeed urban crossover

The new Kia XCeed urban crossover will be available with Kia’s first fully-digital 12.3-inch Supervision driver instrument cluster when it is launched across Europe later this year. Kia says that the high-tech Kia XCeed, due to be fully revealed on 26 June 2019, will be one of the most technologically advanced compact cars when it goes on-sale.
