Top five-star Euro NCAP rating for the electric Mazda MX-30

The all-electric Mazda MX-30 has been awarded the maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP in its latest series of tests with 91 per cent and 87 per cent scores in its respective adult and child occupancy categories. The 91 per cent rating is the best adult occupant protection result yet registered amongst all vehicles tested in the latest 2020 Euro NCAP tests.

All-electric Mazda MX-30 starts at £25,545

Full UK specification and pricing has been revealed for the Mazda’s first all-electric production vehicle – the Mazda MX-30. Prices start at £25,545, with initial First Edition models from £27,545. UK customer deliveries start in March next year.

Mazda starts production of all-electric MX-30

On the 19th May 2020, Mazda began production of the all-new Mazda MX-30, the company’s first all-electric vehicle, at Ujina plant No. 1 in Hiroshima, Japan. The new MX-30 is equipped with e-Skyactiv – Mazda’s new electric drive technology. The front-wheel-drive powertrain combines a 107kW AC synchronous electric motor with a 35.5kWh lithium-ion battery, equipping the new SUV with a driving range of approximately 200km, or about 120 miles (WLTP combined).

All-electric Mazda MX-30 First Edition from £26,995

In a year that sees Mazda celebrate its centenary, Mazda UK is also looking to the future with the announcement of pricing for the Mazda MX-30 First Edition – the debut model in the MX-30 range. Limited to 500 examples, the Mazda MX-30 First Edition is available to pre-order now and costs £30,495 on-the-road – £26,995 inclusive of the OLEV grant.
