Nissan adds new diesel auto model to the Qashqai range

Following its introduction on the new 1.3 DiG-T 158 bhp petrol engine, the Qashqai is also now available with a DCT transmission on 1.5 dCi 113 bhp versions. The additional powertrain creates more choice for Qashqai customers and provides an automatic option for those who need a diesel powertrain for fuel efficiency with high torque output

Upgraded diesel engine for the Nissan Qashqai

Nissan says the appeal of the Qashqai is now greater than ever, thanks to the launch of an upgraded 1.5-litre diesel engine. The enhanced 113 bhp unit offers drivers a 5 bhp increase in power over the 108 bhp of the previous generation. Torque remains the same at 192 ft lb, though the engine now features an all-new overboost function. This delivers an extra 5 bhp and 18 ft lb of torque for up to 15 seconds of driving.

The Nissan Qashqai is now available with “significant enhancements which further develop its premium character”. The upgrades focus on four areas – exterior design; higher levels of interior quality; improved driving performance; and the addition of new Nissan Intelligent Mobility
