Hyundai seals electrification partnership with Uber

Hyundai Motor has entered a strategic partnership with Uber, with the aim of electrifying its mobility services in Europe. Hyundai provides Uber’s partner drivers with discounted access to thousands of Kona Electrics and IONIQ Electrics for drivers using the Uber app. These include the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands.

Volkswagen and Uber launch EV-based Uber Green project in Berlin

Volkswagen and Uber have launched a pilot project for the utilisation of electric vehicles within the sustainable ride hailing service “Uber Green”. The objective of the pilot project is to use a number of year-old e-Golf vehicles which may run into three digits. Volkswagen has already been using the e-Golf for its own car sharing service We Share since 2018.

Uber deal for 2,000 electric Nissan Leafs

Nissan and Uber have signed a deal to support the introduction of 2,000 all-electric Nissan Leafs for drivers who use the Uber app. The fleet of 40kWh Nissan Leafs, which can travel up to 168 miles on a single charge and are manufactured in Sunderland, will be offered to drivers as part of Uber’s Clean Air Plan.
