Vauxhall is providing 22 staff to the Luton site of Smiths Medical, a division of Smiths Group plc, which is being tasked with significantly increasing production of Smiths Group’s paraPAC plus. These ventilators are approved and have been in use within the NHS for over 10 years. The staff – 20 assemblers, plus a Team Leader and Supervisor – were hand-picked from Vauxhall’s Kimpton Road Plant that produces the Vivaro van. They were chosen due to their specialist skills and ability to carry out intricate production work to a very high standard.
Vauxhall says it has become the first mainstream volume manufacturer to achieve full RDE2 compliance across its entire model line-up, giving company car drivers and businesses significant savings. Meeting the second phase of the European Union Real Driving Emissions (RDE) test will become mandatory for all new diesel vehicles registered after January 2021. Now Vauxhall says it has achieved compliance nearly a year ahead of the legislation for its entire model line-up, including the all-new Corsa and new Astra.
Vauxhall’s all-new Corsa is available on personal contract purchase (PCP) from £211 per month with zero per cent interest and £0 deposit. The company says that the new model has the most efficient Corsa powertrains ever. It also has modern infotainment and connectivity, including multimedia systems with up to 10-inch touchscreens, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. IntelliLux LED headlights are available for the first time on a Corsa.

Just as the All Makes campaign is open to all drivers, no matter the make or model of their car, so too is Tyres Online. With the new offering, drivers of any car can search, select, purchase and arrange tyre fittings at their local retailer via the Vauxhall website.

Available to order now and priced from £32,390 on-the-road, Vauxhall is continuing its electric offensive with the new front-wheel drive Grandland X Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The propulsion system in the Grandland X Hybrid produces 222 bhp, thanks to a 178 bhp, 1.6-litre turbocharged, direct injection four-cylinder petrol engine and a 108 bhp electric motor.
Vauxhall has revealed first images of the all-new Insignia, the brand’s flagship large saloon with a refreshed design and a wide range of improved technology features. Vauxhall, along with its sister brand Opel, is looking to add to the success of the 1.2 million Insignia models delivered to customers (over 300,000 to UK customers) since it was first introduced ten years ago.
